“If we’re going to perform Inception, we need imagination.”
Come join us as we step into the imagination of visual artists, filmmakers, musical performers, and spoken word artists and revel in the amazing things that local queer and trans artists can do.
Metro Manila Pride proudly brings you the first annual Queer Arts Festival Manila. Themed “Queerception: A Multi-Arts Festival within a Multi-Arts Festival,” this one-night pop-up festival is an official entry to the Fringe Manila Festival and is happening on February 13 at Pineapple Lab in Makati. Doors open at 7PM.
One part a festive, uncensored, non-curated, and immersive safe space for LGBTQIA+ artists and allies to share their art. One part a fundraising event for the 2016 Metro Manila Pride campaign. All in all an inspiring pop-up festival of stories, art, and queerness that you wouldn’t dream of missing.
Brought to you by Metro Manila Pride, FringeMNL, Pineapple Lab, and FEIST Magazine, the 2016 #QueerAF is a promising showcase of awesome LGBTQIA+ artists and a fundraising campaign for the Metro Manila Pride 2016 Campaign. Join us as we celebrate art, life, love, hope, and more.
The 2016 Queer Arts Festival would not be possible without the support of Pineapple Lab, Ira Briones, Jazz Tamayo, Oan Dela Cruz, Jing de Guzman, Fechi Fajardo, Angie Umbac, Fats Roxas, Dennis Corteza, Raffy Aquino and other donors who wish to remain anonymous. Our warmest thanks also goes out to Sarah Orlina, the artist who made the #QueerAF poster art!
