Why volunteer for MMPride?
It’s a great way to support the community.
MMPride’s programs are made by and for the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community. Our work aims to advance legislation against discrimination, support the work of artists and performers, and make human rights education free and accessible.
There’s a lot of learning and teaching opportunities.
Our organization is constantly evolving thanks to the contributions of our volunteers. Aside from our educational programs, volunteers have the opportunity to learn and connect with educators and advocates from the LGBTQIA+ community. MMPride is also home to educators, artists, and long-time human rights advocates. You’ll also get to work with and learn from people of various backgrounds and experiences, and share your own perspective to help us advance the work toward safe space, equality, and justice.
You can help keep MMPride a sustainable organization.
Our organization is 100% volunteer-run. The tireless efforts of our many volunteers allow us to shape our programs, improve our goal as human rights advocates working to advance causes that serve the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community.
Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I want to volunteer and the position I want isn’t listed?
If the position you want has not been posted but has been called for before (like Pride March and Festival marshal, usher, or registration assistant), don’t fret; we may have additional volunteer calls at a later date for those positions. The open positions as of writing are the urgent ones and need to be filled earlier.
If you think there are certain volunteer positions that we should consider, feel free to email volunteer@mmpride.org. However, we encourage you to check out the currently listed openings instead, as those are our most immediate volunteer needs.
Can my organization volunteer?
Community and corporate organizations are encouraged to collaborate or partner with us—however, we only consider corporate partnerships for the Pride March and Festival program.
If interested, you may send us an e-mail at hello@mmpride.org with the following information:
- Name and contact details of 2 point persons (we require 2 in case one point person isn’t available)
- What kind of MMPride event or program you are interested to help with, or the project you want to collaborate on
- What kind of help your organization can offer (such as skills, equipment, or venue)
I can’t volunteer for MMPride but I would still like to help by donating. How can I do that?
If you’re interested in funding only the Pride March and Festival, we suggest that you wait for the announcement of the Pride Fund, which is the annual fundraiser for the event.
However, if you’re interested in donating for the organization as a whole (and we’d be most grateful for that!), head on over to our Donate page.
I can’t access the application form. / I’m getting an error when I access the application form. What should I do?
Please send an email to volunteer@mmpride.org.
I’m seeing some errors on the volunteer pages, what should I do to have them fixed?
Send an email to volunteer@mmpride.org and copy hello+site@mmpride.org with screenshots of the error.

How can I share my qualifications or work samples with you? I can’t upload them via your form.
Please use online storage services such such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Ensure that the files can only be viewed by those who have the link to them then provide the link in the form.
Will you share my application details and files with anyone?
We definitely won’t share your details and files to anybody outside MMPride. The only ones who will see your application within the organization are the Core Personnel Management team, who handles the staffing needs for MMPride, and the respective leads for those positions. These are the folks who will process and evaluate your application.
My friends and I want to volunteer, can we apply as a group? / I know some people who want to volunteer, can I apply for them?
If you are a group of individuals or a friend group (that is, not affiliated with any community organization or institution), we highly discourage this. We look at each form submission as individual applications, so please have your friends apply as a volunteer individually on their own.
